This. Book. Was. Insane 🥩😬 I barely had the words when I finished it, and a part of me barely does now. But I strongly recommend Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica if you’re into dystopian horror or want a thought provoking read ✨
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone who calls themself mom or is a mom-like figure! 🌸 I finished a book this week not really relating to motherhood, but something a bit more terrifying… Bunny by Mona Awad is a book I’ve seen mentioned for awhile now and I wasn’t sure how to gauge it from other reviews. But after finishing it, I can honestly say it’s one of the most weirdly terrifying books I’ve read in a while ✨

A little late, but April is #arabamericanheritagemonth . I wanted to recognize Arab American authors so here is a post sharing my latest read, You Exist Too Much by Zaina Arafat, and if you swipe left a few other AA authors ✨ I don’t talk about my own Arab heritage often (I’m Syrian/Lebanese), but for me it’s sometimes cathartic to read AA author’s perspectives who share a clearer voice to how I feel about my own identity or, better yet, address questions or similar insecurities I have that I haven’t been able to pin point yet. There are some fantastic AA authors out there that you all should give a chance, and if anyone wants any more recs or has any recs for me please share! ✨

Hope everyone’s having a great week so far 💫 My birthday was this past week, and it was definitely one of my better and more memorable ones for sure! I also finally got back into reading and finished this exhilarating book: The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab. I heard a lot about this one for the past year and after reading it, I wished I had sooner ✨

Going into this book, I have to admit… I did not know much about the Alamo or what happened during the battle that Texas would consider one of their most important historical moments. I try to read more non-fiction every now and then, and I was happy to pick this one up ✨🌵

Happy #bookstack Sunday! ✨ Hope everyone is having an excellent weekend. No review today, but I wanted to share the stack of what I’m currently reading and future reads 🙌🏻
